"Join the Navy to see the world, they said." Ah yes, we know that cleaning the deck is all part of the job while you are at sea. But hey, that's life in the Navy. But still, you do get to see parts of the world. We'll name a place and chances are you've probably seen it.

If you're a Sailor, you know that hard work is still a thing when you are defending the high seas against the enemies of freedom (and our allies). A classic Navy meme.

Chief is mad

No one wants to incur or even face the wrath of a Navy chief. So what better way to 'fake your own death'? Or maybe something clever to where you may never face some kind of repercussion? There are some Navy vets that can tell a story about how a Chief or one of their superiors chewed them a new one for something.

The 'What I do…" memes have been around for quite awhile. In fact, this is a Navy meme geared toward the veterans of our Naval fighting force. You can tell stories, let people draw their own conclusions, and even get a good idea of what the Navy could have been like for the others.

Speaking of stories, you might have a few of your own about what happened on the water or even during your first shore duty. Maybe we had to be there to see it.

Ah yes, who couldn't wait until their watch shift was over? There might have been nothing more exciting to see that one special person. That person was to relieve you of your duty so they could keep watch themselves. Yes, you were probably Spongebob AND Squidward more than a dozen times.

Watch duty can be boring. But it's one of those things that the Navy does best. And it's all in the name of defending our freedom (and any hostile forces that we may encounter on the water).

Just Passing Through

Yes, we did say that in the Navy you can see the world. Especially when it's exotic places like this. But the bad news for most sailors, we sail past them. Crap…so much for some rest and relaxation on the beach, you think to yourself. But you do get to enjoy some cool places when you're off-duty.

Whether it's Hawaii, California, or Florida, wherever you are stationed there's always some places that you can explore and have fun.

Dorm room

Ah the ship dorms. Triple decker bunk beds that are kind of decent in comfort. But the dorms are nothing quite like say…the college dorms. If anything, they might just be the closest thing to those capsule beds that you see in some parts of the world. One of the worst parts of being on the ship may be cramped corners.

Then again, there are barracks dorms that are a bit larger in size. Maybe the land dorms aren't so bad after all.

At 6AM – Classic Navy Meme

Of course, no military meme would be complete without making fun of the other branches. There is no doubt that while one branch is up and at 'em at 6AM, so are the Navy. The only difference is the Navy never even went to bed. However, some sailors may not be up all night partying anymore like those did back in the day.

But who says you can't have fun when you're off duty. Just make sure you have the day off before pulling an all-nighter with your fellow sailors.

These Are Not The Pirates We Imagined – Funny Navy Meme

If there is one threat that the Navy has seen on the high seas, it's the number of 'pirates'. Granted, these are not the pirates that you have read about or watched in movies. These pirates are riding ragtag boats that are small and pretty much are dwarfed compared to Navy ships.

These pirates usually go after smaller, civilian boats and hijack them. But it is the Navy that has kept a vigilant eye on these high seas thieves around the clock.

You got your aviators, your SEALs, the Marines, and the sailors themselves. Believe it or not, the Navy just might be one of the most versatile military branches of them all.
